Social Media Assistant
An exciting, opportunity exists for a talented junior marketing, media or communications graduate to join our close-knit team. You will be working with the marketing manager and team to assist with execution of the social media and communications strategy across our leading brands in the hair and beauty industry. Yovanka Loria has been pioneering a revolutionary hair extensions system with its unique application method, believing that hair extensions would become a healthy choice. The brand has evolved over the past four years and ‘Yovanka Loria Extensions’ are now stocked in over 50 salons across Australia, and 150 in the United States. 20-24 hours per week, negotiable, including some time out of office hours. The Role: Initially a 3-month contract, with the opportunity to extend for the right person. This role requires a highly driven and self-motivated induvial who will work closely within our marketing team to support the execution of a marketing strategy for the business in 2022 and beyond, creating content that reflects the values of our brand and get great experience working in all areas of marketing, including social media management, media briefing and planning, digital marketing and email marketing. Although previous experience is preferable, we are more interested in your eagerness to learn and grow into this position. You will be taught through real life on the job training. KEY DUTIES- Creating content for social media across platforms - Instagram, Facebook & Tik Tok
- This includes but is not limited to: Instagram (DM, comments, tags etc), Facebook (official YL page and YL Collective Facebook Group) & YouTube.
- Assisting with social media and blog content development, execution, editing scheduling and uploading.
- Measure social media efforts and provide valuable insights to the marketing team
- Create, source, and build original content for our clients/stockists’
- Brainstorm content/ ideas, individually and with the team
- Ensure strategies and requirements are delivered on time
- Execute and manage giveaways
- Create monthly EDM
- Basic website updates
- Blog Posts
- Relevant degree or studying in Marketing, Media, Communications or similar
- High level of competency with administrative skills and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of social media culture and trends, in particular Tik Tok and Instagram
- Knowledge of PPC, SEO, SEM, or any other digital marketing highly desirable
- Knowledge of various social media platforms and keeping up to date
- Graphic design, copy writing and layout design experience but not necessary
- Familiarity with podcast and editing an advantage or willingness to learn
- Experience with Canva and Adobe Suite (particularly Photoshop)
- Experience in and around email marketing
- Enthusiasm for content creating and editing
- Experience using WooCommerce or similar
- Interest in the hair and beauty industry
- Highly organised and strong interpersonal skills
- Prioritising, time management and organisational skills
